Cup No. 1 in Fredrikshaven, Denmark

This international youth soccer tournament is organized every summer in Fredrikshavn in the very northern part of Denmark. In 2026, Dana Cup No.1 will be held for the 41st time. Each summer Fredrikshavn is visited by 200 youth teams from more than 20 different countries. This international atmosphere makes the tournament a great multicultural event in the summerly Denmark where Fredrikshavn shows its very best side. Cup No. 1 has a ‘family feel’ and the town of Fredriksahven is a perfect 1st stop to this fantastic soccer adventure.  This is a great tournament in a safe and friendly town where you can get around almost everywhere by walking or biking.

The tournament is organized by the local soccer club Fredrikshaven Fotbolls Forening and it is played on pristine grass fields located within walking distance from the school accommodations.  The teams are split up into group games where you play 3-4 first round games. Thereafter, each team qualifies to the A or B playoffs depending on previous results. The knockout stage starts Thursday afternoons. If the team is knocked out early we arrange friendlies against other teams. Every summer we make sure that each team plays 6+ games at Cup No 1.
Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden

Gothia Cup is considered ‘the World Youth Cup’ as it attracts over 1900 teams from over 80 nations each summer. It truly is a fantastic experience for any soccer player or soccer parent to experience in their lifetime. The opening ceremony has 55,000 soccer fans in the stands and the entire city of Gothenburg turns into a soccer city during the Gothia Cup week. Gothenburg is one of Sweden’s oldest and most charismatic cities with plenty for the visitor to do and see. Aside from all the soccer and sightseeing, Liseberg can be found in Gothenburg which is northern Europe’s largest amusement park.

The Gothia Cup is hosted by local professional club BK Hacken (Crowned Swedish champions in 2023 on the mens side) and the tournament is played on over 100 fields around the City of Gothenburg. The playing surfaces are both grass and astro turf. The field conditions are always very impressive.
